Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This interesting hybrid of southern Oregon's Knobcone pine crossed with southern California's Monterey pine has proven to be a fast-growing and drought-tolerant cross and is now being used for reforestation in, interestingly, New Zealand. It is also used as an excellent choice for Christmas trees! This was first crossed by the U.S. Forest Service. S/M-D
