Celtis laevigata is a broadleaf deciduous tree with green foliage. In spring green flowers emerge. Attracts birds and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular water. Does well in well-drained soil.
Winding up the Mississippi & its tributaries into Ohio, this 60-80' tree has the familiar Hackberry zig-zag twigs & small or-yellow fruits which exude a sweet sticky substance in fall (from whence comes the name). Sun/Med
