Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Developed in Canada, this spring favorite is an upright 6-8' shrub with outstanding flower color and bud hardiness. S/M
This hardy, deciduous shrub has huge, bright, yellow flowers in early spring before the foliage appears. An upright grower, it has medium green foliage and is excellent as a border, screen or bank plant. Pruning is needed to keep the plant shorter and more compact. You should remove approximately one third of the older stems immediately following bloom to encourage the growth of new shoots from the base. It will tolerate part shade, but will bloom more profusely in sun.
