This superior selection of our native shrub dogwood is more compact, reaching only 4-5' with dense branching and improved disease resistance. This cultivar is more diminutive, but it retains the magnificent deep-red stems red twigs are loved for. These shrubs are excellent for rain gardens or along pond edges where their roots with keep the soil from eroding. The white-berries are quite ornamental and much loved by native songbirds.
