Eryngium 'Big Blue' is one of the best sea hollies with blooms of iridescent blue pincushions and bracts on branching blue stems to 30 inches tall. It also sports bluish green leaves. This peculiar genus from the carrot family is found around the world but with its centre of diversity in South America. There are also a number of European species.
