Eucryphia glutinosa is a broadleaf deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub or tree with gold, green and red foliage. In fall and summer white flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in rich and well-drained soil.

The only eucryphia we grow. We tried the evergreen species and they always die with cold and are difficult in containers. E. glutinosa has beautiful white flowers in July. Our 15' shrub is in full afternoon sun and is thriving. It has withstood 5-6 degrees. In fall, the deciduous foliage turns red-yellow.

Chile A large erect-branched deciduous shrub, with fall color, more vertical than spreading. Late summer blooming, July to September. Our form 'Flore Pleno' has double white flowers, conspicuous yellow stamens. Prune top to keep under 8' tall when very mature.
