Large brilliant red flowers are born in large clusters on this truly red Crape Myrtle. Red Rocket® is considered by many to be one of the very best of the larger growing red flowered Crape Myrtles. Rich healthy foliage and moderate disease resistance as well as good fall color .Not only do Crape Myrtles provide those beautiful flower clusters in summer and elegant peeling bark on mature trunks but they also have excellent fall color ranging from yellows, oranges, reds, and often purples. Provide your Crape Myrtles with as much sun as possible and ample nutrients since they flower on new growth to ensure you'll get plenty of those colorful flowers throughout summer. In zone 6 Crape Myrtles are often grown as die-back perennials and so should remain much shorter when grown in these regions.
