Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A rare intergeneric hybrid between Catalpa and Chilopsis produced in the U.S.S.R. I'd always loved the huge clusters of exotic tropical looking flowers, this thing blooms nonstop from late spring until fall, continuously setting new flower buds right up to the first hard freeze.
Chitalpas are Russian hybrids of two American genera, Chilopsis and Catalpa, and are garden-worthy, hardy, small trees. They bloom early and often, are thrifty with water, and easy to grow. 'Morning Cloud' has white petticoat-edged, tubular flowers with contrasting red veins.
The willowy branches are cascading on this vigorous (to 25' x 25') airy shrub/tree & produce a "cloud" of large clusters of white flowers with rich purple streaks in summer. Sun/Med-Dry
