Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The large leaves of this rare medium-sized tree (50-70') are deeply and distinctively lobed and are attractively tinged with red in spring, the interesting cup shaped flowers are olive-green with a yellow base and can go unnoticed among the foliage, flowers are followed by scaly brown fruit; this dense, spreading tree is wonderful for creating shade and is outstanding when in its golden glory in autumn; the wonderful Chinese cousin of our own American Tulip Tree.
