Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The yellow summer flowers and very fine, deeply-dissected leaves of this unusual form make an excellent, as well as tough, ?groundcover? (though it won?t spread) or, if staked when young, a lovely small weeping ?tree?. S/M-D/GDr
Deciduous shrub or small tree with a more delicate weeping form than 'Pendula'. It is usually grafted onto a standard between 4 and 6' from the ground, making a small specimen or accent plant. Finely-dissected green foliage is arranged in small, feathery leaflets. The overall effect is a soft, fern-like texture. Yellow, pea-like flowers are added to the mix of texture in mid-spring and are followed by fruit. Since it is a member of the pea family, the fruits are 1.5 to 2" pods that mature from green to tan during the summer. Very tolerant of cold temperatures, as well as salt, wind, and poor soil tolerant. Great choice for difficult growing sites as well as containers. Growth Rate medium
