Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The intensely fragrant bright sunny-yellow flowers on this wonderful 5-7' shrub have a rich golden-orange eye and the summer-to-fall blooms contrast beautifully with the deep-green foliage; this is a very sturdy upright growing specimen with rounded flower panicles clumped at the stem ends rather than the long pyramidal clusters of other Buddleias; a wonderful butterfly plant! S/M
A unique colour departure for the butterfly bushes: 'Honeycomb' sports clusters of yellow flowers that deepen towards orange at the centres. Said to be one of the most fragrant cultivars. Blooms from June until November. Drought tolerant once established. This is a love child of B. globosa and B. davidii. The form is mostly that of B. davidii. B. globosa influences the flower spikes breaking them up into globular bunches in shades of orange.
Esteemed for its glorious yellow flowers, this recent Mike Dirr hybrid is a cross between davidii and globosa. A handsome silvery foundation supports the breathtaking spectacle of saturated clear yellow blooms. Enhanced by orange eyes, the flowers are held in globe-shaped terminal panicles some 4 to 6 in. long. Blooming for months on end, 'Honeycomb' looks vivacious with Persicaria 'Summer Dance' and Salvia 'Blue Ensign' in the mixed border.
