Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Valued for its white, late-season flower stalks and its mint-scented leaves, this ?giant mint? (3 to 4') perennial-shrub is a delightful conversation piece for the fall border. S-PSh/M
You wouldn't notice this plant in a nursery in the spring, unless you brush against the foliage and get a whiff of its mint-like perfume. It doesn't shine until September, when it begins to show off with 6-8" white spires of flowers that attract pollinators of all kinds. In our garden, it gets afternoon sun, and is about 3-4' tall and 5' wide but we do cut it back hard each spring (it could easily reach 6'). Seems to be unfussy about soil, although we would not plant in a very wet spot. Shipping qt.pots.
