Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This woody, semi-evergreen shrub makes a valuable groundcover with its long trailing thorny branches of shiny bright-green leaves. Five petals of brilliant-white surround lemon-yellow stamens in summer which are followed by small dark-red hips. In height it only reaches a diminutive 1', but it can easily spread to 15' wide! Foliage turns a nice orange-red color in the fall. S/M
