A thicket forming, small bamboo. Bright, creamy yellow leaves, striped with green, are held on hollow, slender, jointed, green stems. Forms dense thicket by spreading, underground rhizomes, if space is limited it is best grown in a pot, the larger the better. Cut out stems as they become tatty.
