Corylus avellana 'Aurea' is a broadleaf deciduous shrub with gold foliage. In spring and winter tan flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - shade and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.
Stunning planted as a specimen or as part of a hedge, this lovely 12-15' shrub has outstanding foliage which is golden-yellow in spring before deepening to a chartreuse-green in summer. This plant is a knockout when planted with darker leaved plants for contrast. Pretty creamy-yellow catkins in early spring put on a show before the foliage appears. S-PSh/M
