This charming perennial produces a profusion of lively, violet-blue flower spikes over an exceptionally long season. This delightful perennial is easy to grow, with an upright compact habit to just one foot tall and wide. A wonderful choice for container or front of the border. S/M
Compact, clump forming perennial with 10-12” pointed spikes composed of tiny, star shaped, violet blue florets in summer... very striking! Best in well drained soils in full sun, regular summer moisture; good for rock garden and great in pots. Deadheading can result in multiple blooms. Nice cut flower. Has been deer and critter resistant for us.
Plentiful and sumptuously colored, the dense, dark violet-blue tapers crown a compact, noninvasive base of glossy deep green foliage that stays fresh well into fall. Show off this perky new British cultivar right up front with Achillea 'Marmalade's cheerful yellow flowers.
