Kalimeris incisa 'Blue Star' is a tough daisy relative taking heat, humidity and drought in stride. It produces tons of one inch wide, pale blue, daisy-like flowers with yellow centres over a compact mound of foliage all summer long.

What a champ this plant is, but it is so hard to capture its charm in a photo! A few years ago we saw Kalimeris 'Blue Star' at Blithewold in Bristol RI, and had to ask ourselves why we weren't growing this plant. Tolerant of heat and humidity, this long blooming Japanese Aster begins adding soft blue color in July and carries on into September. Grows 15-18" tall and 18" wide.
