    Astrantia major 'Ruby Cloud' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In spring and summer red flowers emerge.     Neat clumps of lobed leaves give rise to late spring-early summer 2’ stems topped by domes of ruby–red starbursts which if removed after fading often reward with another flush of bloom. Pretty perennial, nice filler. Enjoys sun in cool areas, part shade elsewhere, rich, organic soil and regular moisture (takes wet soil). Use in groupings for best effect. Attracts butterflies, good cut flower.
