Nursery contributed plant descriptions

In spring the drooping branches of this graceful, adaptable, tall shrub are ?draped with masses of bell-shaped soft-pink flowers? (E. H. Wilson). S/M
Beauty Bush is a beautiful flowering shrub that produces an arching habit similar to a water fountain shape. It is useful especially because it blooms later than most other similarly sized shrubs but before most perennial or annual plants, so can fill in the flowering season gap in mid to late spring.
Beauty Bush is closely related to and resembles Pride of Rochester, or Deutzia scabra but with much smaller leaves and a more compact habit. Place these in open locations where their mounding habit can be really appreciated.
