A cloud of white flowers charmingly blushed pink age to deep pink, a lovely complement to the silver woolly foliage of the 18-24 incher; easy going and drought-tolerant, though not long-lived, it can seed in. S/M-D/GDr

Consistently popular in the garden for hundreds of years, by the 1700s in England double campions of magenta and white were all the rage. Now they have all but disappeared, to be replaced by the earlier single types. This variety is white with tints of rose in the center of the flower, similar to the 'spotted' blooms of 1629. A beautiful summer-blooming flower with woolly gray green foliage. Well-drained soil. Self sows.
