Got deer? Rabbits? Heavy soil? Then this should be one of your favorite perennials! True to its name, spires to 2', fragrant, silver green linear foliage topped with spikes of violet blue all summer and fall. Plant in full sun and water sparingly, especially in clay soil. Drought tolerant.
This is a compact form of this easy-to-grow, drought-tolerant, hardy garden favorite. Airy spikes of fuzzy blue flowers cover the plant from summer to fall. And the butterflies will love you for planting it! Full sun and little water is required once established; be warned, it won't tolerate consistently moist soils.3-4' tall by 2-3' wide. Minimum temperature: -30?F
Grey-white foliage and airy lavender flowers top off at just two feet tall, about half the height of the species. Does best with dry hot conditions, forming a lovely haze of colour at the front to middle of the border. The hotter the location, the happier the Perovskia.
It has the wonderful silvery-white foliage of this species, its drought tolerance and its delightful foamy blue flowers. It's just SMALLER (to 2') allowing gardeners with smaller yards to enjoy it now TOO! SUN/Med-Dry/GdDrain PPatent11643
