Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Large white globular flowers on 24-30" stems. The lower part of the foliage starts getting a little ratty in mid Summer as the plant comes into flower. I recommend planting it in mid border so that something a little shorter can skirt the lower part of the plant.
Spiny grey-green leaves and intriguing, spherical, silver-grey flower heads on grey stems in late summer when it's nice to have some surprises in the garden. The cultivar name is nicely descriptive of the effect of the flower heads at dusk.
White flowers
Topping erect mahogany-hued stems, snowy spheres provide a statuesque element heightened by prickly, silver-washed greenery. Planted with stately companions like Aconitum, Digitalis 'Gigantea Gelber Herold' and Veronicastrum, its noble orbs appear to glow.
Glow is an understatement!; the large white flower spheres of this show stopper rise on red stems above silver-green foliage. Sun/Med-Dry/GdDr
