This fine new small shade tree was selected by Oregon State Unv. for its excellent deep-red foliage (which lasts well into the summer) and it?s more tree-like habit; has both C. avellana and C. colurna in its blood. PSh/M
A very hardy ornamental Filbert that has a wonderful irregular branching habit to provide winter interest. Leaves emerge a pretty reddish-purple in the spring and hold there color nicely through the season, gradually becoming tinted with green in the heat of summer.
