Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This charming 15-25' tree is truly glorious in autumn when it is covered with very large, glossy, bright red fruit (haws). The fruit persists into winter extending the show even after the pretty yellow-orange fall leaves drop. Lovely in spring with its abundant clusters of single snow-white flowers. This cultivar does get some thorns, but not many and it can get fireblight where that is an issue. S/M
