Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Fragrant blue flowers attract butterflies to the shade garden in early spring. Ideal for naturalizing under trees, 'London Grove Blue' is a good companion for white-flowered, fragrant Sweet Woodruff. In the fall, the foliage turns an attractive red color.
A delightful spring blooming eastern North American native for shade, it carpets the shady border with pale blue. A low growing carpet of fragrant blooms with burgundy winter foliage makes this wild sweet william most appealing. Woodland phlox will spread and fill in around bulbs or perennials that are late to emerge, like hosta. A selection that appeared at the London Grove Friends Meeting House plant sale.
Not sure how this Eastern US woodland wildflower gets the name London attached to it. A selection with flowers of an exceptionally nice shade of blue in spring. Otherwise, the same as the species: Roughly a foot tall, slowly spreading, happiest in good woodland garden conditions. Zone 3
Two shows a year!... in addition to its ever-delightful carpet of blue spring flowers, this woodland creeper has bronzy-burgundy fall color. S-PSh/M
