Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Single red flowers/climber scented
Dortmund is a very showy, short climber with full clusters of cherry red flowers; each with a white center. The brilliant flowers really light up a garden! The dark, glossy leaves of Dortmund are very disease resistant and make an excellent backdrop for the brilliant showing of the brightly colored flowers. Flower clusters are 3 to 11 and make for a very full appearance. Deadhead for best repeat bloom. Consider growing this with Clematis Polish Spirit for a bright, multicolor effect. Bloom Season: Midseason followed by some repeats. Flower Size: 4 in. Origin: Kordes, Germany, 1955.
