It blooms early summer to early fall. It is a beautiful viticella hybrid. It has four to six white sepalsthat are diamond shaped with a hint of blue and purple at the tips. The flowers have a wide bell shape that flattens out as they open. I had the pleasure of meeting this hybrid's creator Werner Stastny in June of 2011 where he explained the need to change the name from Caerulea Luxurians to Luxuriant Blue in order to comply with proper nomenclature standards. I like it better anyway!
