Nursery contributed plant descriptions

It is another one of our beautiful double bloomers. In late spring to early summer large multiple layer flowers with spiky sea urchin-like sepals of light purple will appear around a plump boss of creamy yellow stamens. These robust flowers appear on the previous season's wood. In late summer a more traditional, exceptionally beautiful, single bloom of the same color will appear on the new growth.
