Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clematis Paola is another one of our beautiful double bloomers. In late spring to early summer large multiple layer flowers with spiky sea urchin-like petals of light purplish pink will appear around a plump boss of creamy yellow anthers. These robust flowers appear on the previous season's wood. In late summer a more traditional, yet still exceptionally beautiful, single bloom of the same color will appear on the new growth. The lovely creamy yellow stamens spread out more in the late flower. Flower color: light red to light blue, varies.
