It produces 5 to 6 inch pink flowers around a small boss of stamens that have bright white filaments and anthers. Hybridized by Jonathan Gooch and named for his mother-in-law. Clematis Dorothy Tolver is easy to grow - train up a medium-sized trellis with other climbers that need little pruning. Blooms mauve-pink flowers from late spring to early summer and into fall. Earlier flowers can be semi-double!
