Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dark purple. Patent No. 18740. A very striking variety with large almost single blooms, rather like Sally Holmes but of dark wine-purple color, that contrasts with the bright yellow stamens. It is vigorous and repeat flowers well. There is a moderate close fragrance the comes from the stamens. 10-14ft. (Wekpurosot Carruth 2007).

By: Growquest Growers

Dark, wine flowers in large clusters with yellow stamens make a great show on this vigorous climber. Night Owl Rose is truly a winner with the added feature of good spicy fragrance and clean, gray-green foliage. Color varies by light intensity and climate conditions. Flowers will be lighter in hot climates. Bloom Season: Strong Repeater. Scent: Medium, Spicy. Flower Size: Large. Origin: Carruth, US 2007.
