Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rosa 'Westerland' is a top Kordes climbing rose bearing bright copper orange blooms with a strong, sweet fragrance of old rose and fruit. It is an award-winning rose with cupped, ruffled petals in a variety of shades including orange, peach, and pink. The massive trusses of frilly apricot blooms are filled with a sweet rose perfume that can add fragrance to the entire garden or an entire room when cut for a vase. This vigorous, disease-resistant climber can grow up to 10-12 feet high but can also be pruned to grow as a large shrub rose. A remarkable and easy-to-grow rose.
An excellent newer hybrid with nearly constant blooms all summer and into the fall. Westerland has flowers in clusters of 5 to 10 backed by deep green, healthy foliage. The flowers open and mature through a brilliant mix of red, orange, pink yellow and amber. Scent: Fruity, strong. Flower Size:4-5 inches. Origin: Kordes, Germany 1969.
