Glory Bower (Clerodendrum thomsoniae).A profuse bloomer and vigorous climber, Glory Bower is adorned with rich crimson flowers peeking from white, balloon-like calyxes. Flowering heaviest in the spring, its deep, forest-green leaves are a welcome sight after a long dormant winter.
CLERODENDRUM THOMSONIAE, a unique vine with unusual flower clusters of showy white bracts emitting crimson red centers. Thrives on warm, humid, conditions. Great for containers or baskets.
Bell shaped pure white calyces with protruding red blooms are borne in huge clusters on a vigorous dark green twining tropical climber reaching 12'. May freeze back in hard winters but typically returns from the roots in spring where hardy.
Also known as Glory Bower and Bleeding Heart Vine. This easy vine looks great climbing in a tropical garden but is just as happy in a sunny window up north. It will bloom best in spring, but we've found it blooming all year depending on conditions. Try it in a hanging basket! Tropical Climber.
