Very nice 5" reddish mauve flowers with dark yellow stamens. A classic, free flowering selection. Late, Large Flowered Type. Cripps, England, 1867. This showy variety was awarded a First-class Certificate by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1870. This flower consistency produces most of its flowers on new wood, so prune it hard in late autumn or early spring.
