A cross between C. viticella and C. flammula, this different Clematis stops customers in their tracks...they don’t recognize this dainty vine covered with FRAGRANT, smallish star like flowers with petals edged in lilac rose. The blooms are profuse and nonstop from July to September! We finally have this fairly rare selection to offer. The vines are vigorous but with an overall light lacy look...perhaps 10-12’. Sun to part shade, regular water, should also do nicely in pots. You will fall in love.

One of the most heavily scented clematis with a fragrance redolent of almond biscotti. Star-like white flowers have tips with brush strokes of violet that bloom profusely midsummer to fall. Ideally needs rich, well-drained soil; will tolerate planting at the base of dry conifer, once established. AGM winner. Climber 10-15'. Group 3 - prune hard in late winter as flowers bloom on new wood. Minimum temperature: -30 °F

It is a Clematis flammula hybrid that blooms heavily from midsummer to fall. The starry, four sepal flowers are pink tipped and have a wonderfully sweet fragrance. Plant where there's good drainage and where the scent can be enjoyed. England, ca1880. AGM winner.

Believed to be a natural deciduous hybrid between Clematis flammula and Clematis viticella, the ruby-margined flush of this floriferous 1860s cross is made more delectable by its rich, marzipanlike fragrance. Arranged in terminal panicles, starry white, four-tepaled, 1 inch blooms are drawn together by creamy anthers. Assuring billows of bloom, vigorous 'Rubromarginata' imparts a celestial charm amid the golden foliage of Physocarpus 'Dart's Gold' or a dark green Yew.

A gem of a plant from 1862, with abundant starry flowers edged in violet. Its sweet fragrance has been likened to almond, and its vigorous growth will create an enveloping cloak of bloom on shrubs or on walls and fences. Summer to fall bloom. Easy culture.
