An old clematis rarely offered, Souvenir du Capitaine Thuilleaux was named by the French nurseryman for one of his sons who lost his life in World War I. Rich pink centers fade to gray with contrasting dark stamens on this compact plant. Works beautifully in partial shade and/or in a large container. Early Large Flowered Clematis. Thuilleaux, France, 1918.
