Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Endemic to just four counties in Virginia on dry, open rocky, woodlands and barrens overlaying limestone. This rare Clematis features thick petaled pink flowers that are outstanding, much like a pink viorna. Thanks to Hans Hansen for giving us the seed.
Named for Addison Brown, one of the founders of the New York Botanical Garden. The 1 inch lavender bells give way to beautiful starry seed heads. Limited supply. This rare native is a small herbaceous scrambler well suited to the perennial border or a container where it will bloom steadily all summer. Viorna Group Species.
