Black green foliage looks dipped in white paint in spring; small pink, lightly fragrant flowers…from Heronswood; vining to about 15’, deciduous, easy. Sun to light shade, decent soil, average water. No fruit so far I this beauty. Rarely offered and so loved!
Handsome foliage tipped with white and clusters of rosy pink flowers in spring make this too-little known 10-25' vine a real treasure on trellis or arbor; wonderful even though it has no fruit: (syn: A. pilosula). S/M
From China, a rare Kiwi, distinguished by slender, tapering leaves that appear half dipped in white or pink paint. Deciduous and fast-growing with coral-pink saucer-shaped flowers in spring, but no fruit to speak of. Just a most unusually variegated vine!
This rare kiwi has deep green leaves tipped with white that are useful fro brightening part shade areas. In spring the stems are adorned with rose-pink, saucer-shaped flowers. This is a male clone so no fruit is produced. A fast-growing vine, it will reach 10-25 feet in a few years so give it a little space or grow it up a large hedge or into a tree.
Wow! What a great and uncommon vine! Even when young, this Kiwi shows wonderful white tipped foliage and clusters of beautiful pink blossoms in spring. The leaves are smaller and narrower than kolomikta. The texture effect in your garden will be magnificent!
