'Cindy' is a fairly new cultivar with large maroon leaves that appear almost translucent. In summer, the red leaves have a bluish cast. Its original name, Seigai, means "blue-green cliff". Its color holds well in shade. Smaller than Bloodgood, Cindy will grow to about 8 feet.
Red leaves turn red with green highlights, fall colors red, orange and gold. Dense habit. Zones 5-9.
