Colorful, arching 2’ vase shaped clumps of evergreen (semi evergreen in colder ranges) lacy fronds that unfurl in fiery shades of coppery orange red, this selection being brighter and having longer lasting coloration; red spores on leaf undersides add to the look. Part shade to shade, regular water (takes wet), humus rich soil is a plus. Happy plants will slowly creep on rhizomes. Easy and dependable.
Zn 5. New foliage is coppery-pink. Evergreen.

Dryopteris erythrosora This evergreen fern is one of the easiest to grow. New growth starts out a coppery pink color which matures to a deep green. One of the most popular ferns. Grows to a height of 18 to 24 inches.
