Zones 6-8. Papoose is a silver-blue dwarf of the beautiful Sitka Spruce. For us it has been very slow growing forming a 20-24 inch upright plant in 10 years. Easy care in sunny, moist, but well drained average soil. Takes some drought after established. Little or no fertilizer needed. Let grow naturally to an irregular cone or trim for more mini tree like appearance. Papoose also makes an excellent container plant for patio or bonsai. Larger photo shows shipping size of 5-8 inches in container. Smaller photo shows older plant with mini day lily.
