Hibiscus syriacus 'Ardens' is a flowering shrub that blooms prolifically from early summer to fall with semi-double, lilac-pink flowers with dark veins in their centre. Maple-like green foliage serves well before and during the blooming season. Rose of Sharon are slow to emerge in the spring, perfectly hardy, easy care and provide bright colour in late summer garden. Growth habit is vase-shaped, 8 to 10 feet tall with a 6 to 10 foot spread. Prefers acidic, well draining soil. Little to no pruning required. Perfect for screens, hedges, borders and specimen planting. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
