This handsome 20-35' tree produces large and delightfully flavorful deep-purple fruits in early summer and a smaller crop again in late summer. Considered a precocious fruiter, it begins to bear at only 2-3 years of age. The large bright-green leaves give this tree an incredibly lush and vibrant feel and it has a graceful wide-spreading habit; a perfect ornamental edible! This is considered one of the best cultivars for the Northwest. S/M
Best hardy variety, extremely precocious, self fruiting, heavy yielding over much of the summer, very sweet delicious flavor, seedless.
Large, 1" long mulberries, with a very sweet flavor. Mulberries are typically fast growing, medium sized trees with a natural umbrella shaped mature habit to 40' high and wide. Mulberries are a favorite of birds and wildlife as well as humans. Plant in a location where dropping berries will not stain sidewalks, decks, cars, or patios. Tip: the juice from a reddish berry will remove the purplish stain! Works with blackberries, too!
Most requested mulberry as it fruits at a young age, has copious black berries all summer and is hardy. Zone 4.
Bears 1 1/2-inch long mulberries mid-June through Aug. Birds love them! Drought tolerant.
