Raspberry Wine Bee Balm has bright, long-lasting flowers that add great color to your landscape. With great-smelling flowers that attract pollinators from far and wide, hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees are all drawn to the abundance of smell. Raspberry Wine Bee Balm has raspberry coloring on the petiole at the base of the leaf giving it its name.
The brilliant fuchsia-red flowers of 'Raspberry Wine' are held in tufted clusters at the top of stems usually to three to four feet, though sometimes taller in rich soils or shadier sites. The foliage is fragrant and used for tea. Long-flowering and an excellent cut flower. Monarda is native to eastern North America, is easy to grow and multiplies quickly. The flowers' sweet nectar attracts scores of hummingbirds, butterflies and bees to the garden. The aromatic foliage smells like mint when crushed and is in teas.
Minty scented 'Raspberry Wine' has unique crown-shaped flowers composed of many opulent raspberry-hued tubular florets. Provide organically rich, moist soils, which encourages luxurious clumps to form. A butterfly magnet!
