Poorman Gooseberry is a broadleaf deciduous fruit / vegetable or shrub with green foliage. In spring chartreuse flowers emerge followed by pink fruit. Attracts bees, birds and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.

A fine red gooseberry which makes incredible jelly or pies! This compact, mounding shrub usually grows to 3-4'tall and with its deep-green lobed leaves it makes a fine ornamental as well. Clusters of green-yellow flowers bloom in spring, but are not very showy; the flowers give way to medium sized gooseberries that ripen in late summer. This classic American variety was introduced in 1888! S/M
