Morus 'Pakistan' produces delicious, black, elongated fruits 3.5-5 inches long that resemble a long, tubular blackberry. This cultivar is said to taste somewhat like a raspberry and produces over a long period through summer. It is thought by many to be one of the best tasting of all mulberries. The fruit are also popular with birds and other wildlife. Mulberries are fast-growing trees. 'Pakistan' will form a rounded or umbrella shape up to about 30 feet high. It is a hybrid between M. alba and M. rubra.
Huge, 3-5" long mulberries, with a raspberry-like flavor. Mulberries are typically fast growing, medium sized trees with a natural umbrella shaped mature habit to 30' high and wide. Mulberries are a favorite of birds and wildlife as well as humans. Plant in a location where dropping berries will not stain sidewalks, decks or patios.
Dolan calls this the 'King of Mulberries' as it is so huge--up to 4'' and delicious and non-staining. Zone 6.
