Very golden, indeed. his small deciduous tree, to 15 ft tall and wide, also produces red, edible, cherry-like fruit in late summer, striking against the bright foliage. Aurea comes out golden in the spring and it stays amazingly yellow in the summer; the problem is that it burns a little in the bright sun; the flowers are bright yellow in early spring. zone 5.
