Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This bright and wonderful golden-leaved form of Cornelian Dogwood puts on several shows a year: Very early in spring when its bright sunny-yellow flowers decorate its bare branches, during summer with its glowing yellow-green leaves, in early autumn when its red cherries glow against the yellow-leaves and again in winter with its showy bark. This 15' tree is perfect as a specimen or in the edible garden. Plant another cultivar for best fruit set. S/M

Very golden, indeed. his small deciduous tree, to 15 ft tall and wide, also produces red, edible, cherry-like fruit in late summer, striking against the bright foliage. Accepts sun to part shade with the leaves remaining more yellow in brighter light. Regular summer water for best appearance. Frost hardy to at least -20F, USDA zone 5.
Aurea comes out golden in the spring and it stays amazingly yellow in the summer; the problem is that it burns a little in the bright sun; the flowers are bright yellow in early spring. zone 5.
