Shin Deshojo Japanese Maple is a small tree with a dramatic impact! The brilliant red spring foliage would be stunning planted next to a green Japanese maple. Fall colors are bright oranges and reds. Due to its small size, Shin Deshojo Japanese Maple is perfect for container gardening and is a favorite for bonsai enthusiasts.

PALMATUM, green. Flaming crimson-scarlet leaves in the spring are the outstanding feature of this maple. Very similar to 'Bonfire' and 'Deshojo' but more dwarf in stature and brighter in color. Forms a shrub twice as wide as high. Perfect for container planting on a patio.

One of the Corallinum group, I don't think I could tell it from Shishio Improved or some of the others, but this picture from Michael Healy certainly captures the spring color. Zone 5.
