A tree with true four season interest! The large 7-lobed leaves of this 15-20' upright tree emerge a lovely soft golden color in the spring before maturing to medium green giving the tree a healthy glow all summer. This specimen is a stunner in autumn when the foliage turns brilliant and rich orange and yellow. It is showy in winter as well, when its pretty silhouette and rough gray bark on are full display. Acer palmatum 'Ichigyoji' - Japanese Maple Tree Sister plant to Osakazuki except this is orange red instead of crimson red. Leaves are identical. Very fast tree to 25'.
AMOENUM, green. The very large, fresh, green leaves are up to 6" across with a spread of about 7" from tip to tip on the side lobes. The tree is upright and broad, and when older, it forms a round head. The Japanese say to plant one each of 'Ichigyoji' and 'Osakazuki' to get the full glory of the autumn brilliance with yellows, oranges, and reds.

Ichigyogi in the summer is identical to its sister Osaka zuki; in the fall, it is supposed to be golden beside its sibling's scarlet.
