In the mild Willamette Valley where I live, I was charmed by the long soft pink flower tassels in the spring, but the summer was a bust as the leaves which are slightly purple and larger than species seem to be variously diseased, and as I don't spray, I decided this was a tree for a colder clime. zone 3.
